Dancing fairy altered bookmark

Hi lovely friends,
I'm back again to share an altered
bookmark that I created.

I have to confess that I am a bit
of a bookworm! I love to read.
One of my favourite quotes by the
legendary Michael Jackson is;

“I love to read. I wish I could advise
more people to read.
There's a whole new world in books.
If you can't afford to travel,
you travel mentally through reading"

I needed a new bookmark, so what better
way to combine my love of fairies too!

I used the quote "Beauty begins the
moment you decide to be yourself"
as I thought it fitted the image
of this wonderful dancing fairy perfectly.
Also, it acts as a little reminder to myself
for when I'm feeling not so good.

I can't wait to use it!

Fly with the Angels, dance with the stars

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Today I am sharing an altered art
tag that I made recently.
I have always been fascinated with fairies
since I was a little girl and
if I could actually become one,
i think I would!!

Here I have used various papers
to create a collage and I
used a music note rubber stamp to
create this look.

Altered Butterfly tag

Hi again lovely friends,
I have some very exciting news to
share with you all!

Here is my DT inspiration piece
that I have made for the first challenge
over at

The theme of this months challenge is Anything goes
and is sponsored by

For this challenge I chose the Natures butterfly

I fell in love with this digi stamp as
I have a very special story about butterflies
that reminds me of my beautiful mom, so I
had to use it for my altered art tag.
Only a few of my close friends and family
know my story; and butterflies are a
beautiful reminder of her.

I have used a collage of various papers
and music note tissue paper to create
the base of the tag.

Next, I adhered some mirri-silver die cut cogs.
To complete the tag,
I printed out the words "if nothing
ever changed, there'd be no butterflies"

I have created my own grey shabby flower
using coffee filter papers
and the Tattered florals die.
The petals have been water coloured
using a black soot distress pen.

I hope that this inspires you to join in
with the challenge.

Shabby chic baby girl card

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Today I'm sharing this shabby chic
baby girl card that I have made.

As you all probably know by now, I am in love
with anything vintage and shabby chic!

I have used these beautiful papers from Maja design
summer basics and the
Dovecraft Sweet Paris collection.

I created this beautiful flower collage by
using baby pink mulberry flowers and
off white pearl stamens from
The Ribbon Girl.

I added this darling metal pram charm,
also from The Ribbon Girl.

The company is based in the U.K
and they sell so many beautiful crafting goodies!
It was my first time shopping with them online
and I am so very pleased and will be ordering from
them again!

I bought this sweet Marianne Design Creatables
'my first shoes' metal die
a few days ago and I'm totally
in love with it!

Finally, I have used this
delightful vintage baby girl image
and printed the words
'Baby girl' and ' little princess'
and adhered them on to the card.

I am entering my creation in
The Ribbon Girls June any image challenge

Vintage birthday card

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Today, I am sharing this vintage birthday
card that I made for a lovely friend.

I found this wonderful paper on a recent
mini craft haul. The paper pad
included this darling vintage image.

I have layered lots of paper for
this card. One, which I stamped
on using a Kaisercraft music note stamp.

Once all my papers were layered,
I then created two borders using an X cut
decorative heart border punch.
On top of the borders, I adhered some
beautiful crown ribbon trim.

Next, I adhered some beautiful mulberry
flowers in purple and lilac tones;
along with these gorgeous pink pearl stamens.

Next, I adhered a little vintage tag to
the card. I
altered this using a strip of matching paper.

I have also added two little butterflies,
which I fussy cut from a
separate sheet of paper.

Finally, I adhered matching flowers to
the corner of the main image to
finish off my card.

Thanks for stopping by,
see you on the next post.

Shabby Wedding Anniversary card

HI friends,
hope that you are well!

Here is a shabby chic wedding anniversary card
that I have made for a very dear friend.

The happy couple have been married
for over forty years, now that
is true love!

I started by using a plain white
card base.

Next, I adhered this beautiful paper
by Craft & You design.

I created these two hearts using a heart
metal die and stacked them together,

slightly off centre.

I adhered this beautiful
cream lace over both of the entwined hearts.

Next, I made this flower collage
using beautiful roses in various
shades of pink.
They have been adhered on top
of a few swirl die cuts.

Finally, I stamped the word 'forever'
on a small piece of co-ordinating paper
and adhered it to the bottom of the card.

Thanks once again for stopping by,
please feel free to say 'hi'
or to leave a comment.
It would be lovely to see you here!

Welcome sweet baby boy

 Hello friends,
hope you are well!

A very special couple that I know
are expecting their first child in June.

I wanted to make them something very
special to welcome their new baby boy
into the world.

Here is a shabby chic lollipop card
that I finished making today.

I love making these type of cards,
they are starting to become
a bit of an addiction!

Once I created the paper rosette,
I adhered a paper doily to the centre.
Next,I matted this wonderful vintage
baby image onto a circle of matching
paper. Finally, I adhered that on top.

I then adhered a silver and white
striped straw underneath
the bottom of the doily.

I then added a bow made of vintage lace.

I also added this delightful silver
spoon charm along with blue
mulberry flowers.

I printed out the words 'little Prince'
and 'baby boy' and adhered them
slightly underneath the paper doily.

Thanks once again for stopping by,
see you on the next post

Mini shabby banner

Hi lovely friends,
hope you are well!

I decided to make something different as i've
been making a lot of cards and tags recently,
so this mini banner was such a fun and easy project
to design!

I started by making these mini pennants
from plain white card stock.
Next, I adhered this beautiful shabby chic
paper to each one.

I then added some beautiful  embellishments
to each pennant.

Here I have used vintage lace, buttons, tulle,
a pink rose and some bling!

I also added a few words to three individual

To finish off the banner, I adhered this
lovely champagne ribbon to the back of each
pennant and tied each end with a loop
to be able to hang on my wall at home.

Thanks for stopping by,
have a great day!

Vintage Paris envelope

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Here is a delightful
Paris theme mini envelope and tag
that I have made today.

To create this, I used a Sizzix
pocket envelope die along with some
kraft card stock.

I decorated the front using this
beautiful paper from the
sweet Paris paper collection
by Dovecraft.

Next, I adhered a double row
of vintage lace and added some
light pink flat back pearls.

Then, I adhered this wonderful little
wooden Eiffel tower embellishment.

Finally, I added three small pink roses
and a butterfly; I decorated his
wings using Milled Lavender
distress stickles.

To finish, I cut a tag to fit inside
the envelope. This has been
decorated with matching paper.

Thanks once again for stopping by,
see you on the next post.

Shabby wedding card

Hi lovely friends,
hope you are well!

I wanted to make another shabby chic
wedding card. So when I found this delightful
vintage photo, I knew I had to use it
for this project!

As an artist, I love creating things and
I also tend to be a perfectionist too,
which can be a bit of a problem at times!
I put a whole lot of love, time and
attention to detail
into the things I make.

It's a wonderful feeling when you've made
something you love and that you are
proud of.

Here, I have created a flower collage
using some beautiful mulberry roses
in pink and blue tones.

I have also added frayed cheese cloth
and light pink pearls which have been
adhered over the top of a clock embellishment.

The papers I have used are from the summer basics
collection by Maja Design and My wedding
collection by Craft & You design.

To finish off my card, I have used some
vintage cream lace and two ivory pearl hearts.

I also added a blue butterfly and the word 'memories'.

Hope you like this card as much as I do?!

Remember the wonderful

Hello again lovely friends,
here is another altered tag
that I have made.

This time, I have used a vintage
Photo Booth image of a beautiful lady.

I started by using a plain white tag and
adhered these wonderful papers.
Next, I used a script stamp along with a
Tsukineko brilliance dew drop ink pad in the
colour Platinum planet.

I have also used a small piece of Tim Holtz
film strip ribbon and attached it using
an epoxy brad from the Downton Abbey collection,
by Crafters companion.

Next, I stamped a Tim Holtz number
stamp in Platinum planet at the top of the tag.
Then, I added the words "live your best"

I have also used three tiny blue Petaloo flowers,
and I adhered some grey flat back pearls to
their centres.

Finally, I added the words "remember the wonderful"
and some ruler washi tape.

I have also used faded jeans distress stickles
to the butterfly to give it a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by,
see you on the next post
